Covid-19 - December Update
We are here to support you

As we transition from lockdown to the new Tier system, along with sending you our thoughts and best wishes, we would also like to assure you that since the start of the pandemic, Icon Digital Services remains open and continues to provide services and support for you.

As you know much of our work can be done remotely, and for anything else we will look at each job individually and see what can be achieved under any current restrictions.

We wanted to take this opportunity to remind you about how to report a new Support query or job to us. This will enable us to manage work as efficiently and effectively as possible for you, wherever we are located (currently frequently from home).

For all Support queries (IT, Hosting, Web)
Please email support@icon-digital.co.uk

This is the most effective way to communicate Support queries as it means that you can provide us with some written details about the problem/query along with any necessary attachments. 

The email comes in to our job management system and generates a job number, along with an email response to you and notification to us.

These are reviewed and responded too on a regular basis.  

Of course there are times when this will not be possible for you, so the other way to contact us is to call the office number, 01293 734692.

We are open during normal business hours, and you may find the phone sometimes diverts to voicemail. This is most likely because we are on another call or in a meeting, however we will be working and we will review your voicemail message as soon as possible. We are notified by email of all voicemails that are left, so we can listen from wherever we are.  

If possible, please leave us some detail about the reason for your call, which enables us to be better prepared when we call you back.

Emergencies will always be prioritised, ie an issue where someone is unable to continue to work.

Staffing Update

Vlad has returned to University to complete his final year in a computer related course, and is working reduced hours for us. As above, please use the office number 01293 734692, so that on the days when Vlad is not working the call can be routed appropriately.
You should not notice any particular change other than you may be talking to Graham more, on the days Vlad is not in the office! 

We are currently looking at options to increase our staffing resource, and will provide a further update shortly.

Some Cheer from the Stay At Home Choir!

Finally, for something a bit different. As you know from our last Covid update Hilary Hinks, our business partner at Arrow Project Services, enjoys singing and this time we share with you a song she was part of, along with 4,000 other people around the world. This is the Stay At Home Choir, performing Adiemus, by Karl Jenkins. This is shown alongside images of their “sanctuary” sent in by the singers.

We hope you enjoy it, and as we said last time it really is great to see how technology has made this sort of collaboration possible, helping us stay in touch and be creative whilst we still cannot meet (or sing!) in person.
